Jidai Matsuri Festival, Kyoto


Jidai Matsuri  The Festival of Ages is one of the main festival celebration held in Kyoto every October. This festival contains religious and historical meaning, however the main attraction remains of this celebration is its five-hour long parade, where over 2,000 people participate and get dressed in unique costumes which tells the whole culture and history sagas of Japan. Jidai Matsuri was launched after the capital moved to Tokyo by the end of the 19th century.  If you are Planning  to visit Japan this then It is definitely a must see thing for any visitor looking for a deeper understanding & knowledge of the Japanese culture and for any fashionista its like getting free goodies after a party . This year, the Jidai Matsuri falls on 22 October 2013.
